Ruben Amorim is reportedly related to one of his Manchester United players.
Amorim’s side are currently on a four-game unbeaten run, having beaten Sunderland, Brighton and Liverpool before last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.
The Red Devils’ purple patch comes after there were rumours that the Portuguese’s job was under threat after a poor start to the 2025/26 campaign.
However, United’s upturn in form has seen the side go eighth in the Premier League ahead of their trip to Spurs this coming Saturday.

Summer recruits Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have begun to perform, while new goalkeeper Senne Lammens has also appeared confident between the sticks after replacing Andre Onana as Amorim’s first-choice.
Benjamin Sesko has shown glimpses of quality but has failed to truly settle into life at Old Trafford following his move from RB Leipzig.

As the weeks and months progress for Amorim, he will hope that the relief in pressure on his players after the recent results can allow them to form a better connection with each other both on and off the field.

Although the left side of defence remains a problem position, with several fans slamming wing-back Diogo Dalot for his performance at the City Ground in Saturday’s draw.
After the game, Amorim offered his thoughts and homed in on the fact that Dalot is a right-footed player playing on the left, which impacts his ability to cross the ball.
“If you see Dalot, many times Dalot has the ball with space to make the cross, but he's a right-footer, he's always inside without space,” Amorim said after the game.
“The only [alternative] is Patrick (Dorgu), you are going to do the same thing. When you have the ball, go to the side and cross; the space is there.

“Because if you want to come inside, Cunha is always there to receive the ball.”

While the MEN gave the Portuguese international a 3/10 rating for his efforts.
It was even reported by journalist Samuel Luckhust that Amorim ‘had a go’ at the player during the match.

But what fans didn’t know was the fact that the Portuguese counterparts are actually related.
As reported by The Sun, Portuguese ancestral website Geneall claims that the duo are great-great-grandsons of Carlos Dallot, a 19th-century circus artist.
United sources have also reportedly confirmed the distant relationship between the pair.
Dallot was born in France and toured Europe before settling in Portugal. United defender Dalot has previously noted that his surname has French origins.
