Roy Keane Names Manager He’d ‘Love’ to See at Man Utd

Ruben Amorim is under increasing pressure at Manchester United.

Roy Keane has picked out the manager he'd want at Manchester United amid uncertainties over Ruben Amorim.

After yet another below-par start to the campaign, United are currently 10th in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Arsenal.

The Red Devils have lost to the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Brentford.

United were also dumped out of the Carabao Cup by League Two side Grimsby Town.

As a result of United's struggles, the pressure is beginning to mount on Amorim.

The Portuguese has so far failed to implement his play style, and the results have simply not been good enough.

Amid the uncertainties over Amorim's future, United legend Keane picked out Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone as his choice to become Red Devils boss.

He said on The Overlap: "I’ve said it for years, I’d like to see Atletico Madrid’s Simeone go in there, I’d like to see him go in there. I know his mate [Andrea Berta] has gone to Arsenal but I think he would just create havoc, a good havoc.

"I think he’d walk up to that place and say, ‘hey, this is how you do things’. Obviously, it’s no guarantee but I’d just like to see his personality, his track record."

Keane added: "People might think styles of football… they beat Real Madrid, they scored five last week, this idea he’s defensive, yeah, he doesn’t like his team giving up too many goals or chances but they can play a bit.

"We saw them against Liverpool a few weeks ago, the team aren’t as great as a few years ago but they still had that fighting spirit, he’s still on the sideline causing… he got sent off that night. I’d like a big personality. His mate [Berta] was a bit part of the success at Atletico, the recruitment side of it."

Having been at Atletico since 2011, Simeone has so far managed 749 matches, with a record of 442 wins, 166 draws and 141 defeats, which equates to a win percentage of 59.01%.

During his time in charge, Atletico have won two La Liga titles and two Europa Leagues among other trophies.
