Marcus Rashford has taken drastic action to ensure he remains at Barcelona beyond this season.
Rashford joined the Blaugrana on loan from Manchester United in the summer and has been enjoying life on and off the pitch, with 10 goals and 13 assists in 33 games in all competitions.
Barca had looked at other targets in Luis Diaz and Nico Williams but selected Rashford as a cheaper alternative and the England international has been in fine form, helping Hansi Flick's side to the top of La Liga after 22 games.
The recent changes at United, notably the sacking of Ruben Amorim, prompted suggestions that Rashford could return to Old Trafford.

However, a report from SPORT has claimed that Barca are set to activate their option to buy him permanently for €30 million (£28 million) from United.

The outlet states that the deal is only "pending official confirmation" and unless any unforeseen issues emerge, Rashford is poised to sign a three-year contract with the Catalan giants.
Barca will not look to lower the fee United are asking and are happy that they are getting Rashford for a "reasonable and affordable price".
They did consider doing so and even explored another loan but are now content with the deal they are getting - unless the possibility of a reduction arises if United expressed interest in any of Barca's unwanted players.
The club still have financial difficulties but the transfer is set to be "manageable" with Barca's salary cap - mainly because Rashford has agreed to "adjust his salary" and reduce "the amounts he was due to receive at United".
Rashford has spoken of his enjoyment playing for Barca and his desire to continue playing at the Camp Nou, describing the experience as "amazing" and stating that representing "the biggest club in Spain is a huge honour".

SPORT hailed the 28-year-old's professionalism since joining, saying he has "integrated seamlessly into the group and is a respected and well-liked player".
Sporting director Deco said the club are "happy with him" and enjoying seeing Rashford "contributing a lot to the team".
The signing of Rashford means there is no future for loanees Virgili and Ansu Fati and they will press forward with plans for a left-footed centre-back and a new striker in the summer window.
