What a Manchester United fan shouted at Marcus Rashford ahead of Manchester United vs Newcastle United has been revealed.

On Wednesday night, Erik ten Hag’s men secured a much-needed victory in their final home match of the season as goals from Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund sealed a 3-2 win for the Red Devils.

However, ahead of the match, a video of Rashford involved in what looked like a verbal exchange with a fan was posted on social media.

Now, the words the fan shouted towards Rashford have been revealed.

As reported by the Daily Mirror, the fan shouted: “Why don't you go?” on the back of recent reports regarding Rashford’s future.

Another fan then said: “Rashford, don't listen to him!”

Eventually, Rashford was pulled away by his United teammate Christian Eriksen.

Rashford was brought on in the 83rd minute, in place of Mainoo.

Speaking after the match, manager Ten Hag said: “On behalf of the players, the staff and myself, we want to thank you for the brilliant support during the season.

“As you know it wasn’t an easy season, but one thing remained constant and that was the backing of you for the team. But the season is not over yet, first we travel to Brighton to get three points and then we go to Wembley.”

He added: “And I promise you that those players will give everything to win the cup and bring it to Old Trafford. And we are sure you will be there supporting us. So thank you, you are the best supporters in the world.”

When asked about Rashford’s incident, the Dutchman said: “I felt the fans, they were all very positive about the mood, spirit and ambiance in the stadium. That is very good and it shows the strong bond between the team and the fans.”
