Marcus Rashford slammed for ‘ignoring’ Man Utd fans as Erik ten Hag’s men travel for crucial Fulham clash

Marcus Rashford slammed for ‘ignoring’ Man Utd fans as Erik ten Hag’s men travel for crucial Fulham clash

Manchester United will face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday

Marcus Rashford has been heavily criticised after he appeared to ignore Manchester United fans who were waiting at the train station.

It has been a week to forget for United after their dismal displays against Manchester City and Newcastle United.

On the back of two successive 3-0 defeats, the pressure is beginning to mount on Erik ten Hag.

Ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Fulham, the players were filmed arriving at Stockport station. You can watch the footage below.

In the video, Rashford was spotted with his head down as he concentrated on his tablet. This has not gone down well on social media.

One fan said: “Awful from Rashford, why is he ignoring everyone when other players have taken the time to interact with fans.”

Another tweeted: “How does anybody like Rashford as a person?”

A third fan added: “Rashford too busy watching his iPad, even Martial cracked a smile for the kids.”

Someone else wrote: “Rashford too busy watching Netflix instead of taking pics.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Rashford watching iPad and totally ignores kids. Some role Model.”

Speaking ahead of the match, Ten Hag stated that the mood in the dressing room remains positive.

He said: “They [players] are positive. They want to put this right and we know the standards here. We have to match them every day, we've had two big setbacks, but we'll fight back. The dressing room is strong, the staff are strong and this manager is strong.

“I have a good squad. I'm convinced about the players in the dressing room. We saw these players last year, they can do a lot better, but that's up to me to let them play better.”

He continued: “I have to take the responsibility to make them play better and I will put every effort in to get this done. I'm not thinking about transfer windows because I have a good squad.”
