Marcus Rashford wants to join ONE club over any other team - but there's a huge problem.

Rashford has been the subject of intense transfer speculation after admitting that he's 'ready for a new challenge'.

He gave the revealing interview after being left out of Ruben Amorim's matchday squad against Manchester City, with the 27-year-old restored to the squad against Newcastle United on Monday.

But Rashford failed to make an appearance off the bench as his side suffered a crushing 2-0 home defeat.

With the January transfer window now open, the Man United star has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Arsenal have been mooted as a potential destination, with a report detailing how much they are willing to pay for the out-of-favour forward.

Rashford, however, wants to sign for Barcelona over any other team, according to Alex Crook.

A potential move to Barca could be tricky to navigate as the La Liga side are currently unable to register new players, with summer signing Dani Olmo unregistered.

Olmo was signed from RB Leipzig for a reported fee of £51 million.

He's played 11 league games for Barca this season through a temporary registration as they could not meet the league's wage cap restrictions.

But the club failed to meet a deadline to register Olmo for the rest of the season.

So, if Rashford signed for Barca this month, then he'd unlikely be able to represent them this season due to the club's registration issues.

His future remains clouded by uncertainty, with the player taking to social media to address claims he's held talks with an agency to speed up his Man United transfer.

On Rashford saying he has not spoken to any agencies, Crook said: "I think he has linked up several (agencies), including CAA Stellar, to negotiate a move away.

"He has been represented by his brother, Dwaine Maynard, I think if there is any move, whoever does the deal, Maynard is certainly going to want to be a big part of that.

"Stellar is one of the biggest agencies in the country. So, while Rashford himself may have not spoken to Stellar, I have had it on good authority that people acting on his behalf have had those conversations."
