Respected Man Utd journalist drops bombshell Marcus Rashford claim and the fanbase has erupted

A new report on Marcus Rashford has emerged.

Andy Mitten has dropped a bombshell claim about Marcus Rashford amid his Manchester United absence.

Rashford was excluded from Ruben Amorim's squad for the fourth game in a row when he failed to feature against Wolves on Boxing Day.

Amorim gave his most brutal reply yet when he was asked about Rashford following his side's 2-0 defeat at Molineux.

Rashford's future has since been clouded by uncertainty, with a move away from Old Trafford thought to be on the cards ahead of the transfer window reopening.

A shock club is 'monitoring' his situation ahead of a potential move.

With the January transfer window just days away from opening, respected journalist Mitten claims 'every previous Man United manager' has had issues with Rashford.

He also called Amorim a 'smiling assassin' and a 'disciplinarian' before revealing what he has been told in 'confidence' by previous Man United managers.

"I do think the manager has had a BIG say here. I think he's doing it his way. He's is a smiling assassin. He's a disciplinarian," he said on talkSPORT.

"Every previous manager has had issues with Marcus Rashford. I've spoken to them, I know them. They've told me in confidence going back years and years and years."

Rashford has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals.

He's failed to reach the heights he achieved in the 2022/23 campaign, where he netted an impressive 30 goals.

The 27-year-old has spent his whole career at Man United, having graduated from the club's youth academy.

But his future appears to lie away from the club, with Gary Neville believing the forward's time as a Man United player is over.

"It is not looking great for both Marcus' future at the club or Manchester United keeping him either," he said on Sky Sports. "I suspect it is getting to that point in the journey where it has got an inevitable ending."
