Manchester United are on course to qualify for the Champions League, but it could create a potentially big dilemma over Andre Onana.
Onana believes he still has a future at Old Trafford and will fight for the No.1 spot when his loan finishes.
The Cameroon international joined Turkish side Trabzonspor on a season-long loan in September after a catalogue of high-profile mistakes led United to sign Senne Lammens, who has hit the ground running.
Onana was the club's top choice to replace David de Gea, with United's then-football director John Murtough saying he was "one of the world's best goalkeepers" when a £47.2million deal was struck in 2023.

Murtough even suggested he would "develop even further over the coming years", but after a string of errors, his future looks increasingly uncertain as Lammens continues to impress.
And now he looks set for a big wage increase, which will only make things more difficult for United.

As reported by ESPN, the deal with Trabzonspor was 'facilitated' by a reduction in Onana's wage at United after they missed out on European qualification last season.
The report claims there are concerns at United that his wage will 'make it more difficult to generate interest' this summer, with the potential of the club paying a portion of his salary to make a deal happen being mentioned.
Onana saw his wages drop from around £170,000 per week to £120,000 per week after United failed to qualify for Europe.
Onana wants to re-establish himself as United’s No.1 after his loan ends in May, according to a report from The Guardian, which claims the goalkeeper believes he will be given the chance to prove his worth.
But United have no plans to reintegrate the goalkeeper into their first-team, according to talkSPORT, with a replacement expected to be brought in this summer.
Will Radek Vitek become Man Utd’s back-up goalkeeper next season?
United goalkeeper Vitek, who has spent the season on loan at Championship side Bristol City, hinted that he isn't keen on the idea of playing second fiddle to Senne Lammens next season.
“I came here to play a few games at the start because the number one was injured,” he told BBC Sport.
“He had been here a long time, so it was difficult to keep the shirt, but in the back of my mind, I always wanted to stay here and play the whole season. That was my goal.
