Manchester United have made an unprecedented decision over their kit for the 2026/27 season, it has been reported.
United will play Champions League football again next season after securing qualification with three games of the Premier League season to spare.
Michael Carrick has guided them to Europe's top table but is only contracted on an interim basis until the end of the summer.
There has been mass speculation over who will take charge of United next season, but with the club already knowing which competitions they will play in, there has at least been the opportunity to forward plan off the pitch.

United are gearing up to launch their 2026/27 home shirt, which is said to have a striped collar that was seen on the club's shirts during part of the 1970s.

According to the Daily Mail, they will wear the new shirt during their final two games of the current season, against Nottingham Forest and Brighton and Hove Albion.
Before then, United face an away trip to Sunderland, which will be the final outing of the season for the black third kit as their white away kit clashes with Sunderland's home colours.
Carrick's side can guarantee a third-placed finish by scoring four points in their last three games, with Liverpool and Aston Villa both currently six points behind them with three games to play.
They can also mathematically finish second, but that is highly unlikely, given they would need to win all three games and hope that Manchester City score one point or less from their remaining four matches.
Elsewhere, United are said to be in talks with British bookmakers Betway over becoming the front-of-shirt sponsor for their training kit next season.
The Premier League are introducing a voluntary ban on front-of-shirt sponsorship deals for gambling companies from next season, but this only applies to matchday wear.
The Athletic report that the partnership with Betway, who were formerly West Ham's front-of-shirt sponsor, could be worth over £18 million and would be 'among the highest of its kind in football in terms of a single partner'.
