Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay could be set for a surprise reunion with one of his former Manchester United team-mates, it has been reported.
McTominay was crowned as the Serie A's MVP last season after helping Napoli to win the Scudetto on the final day of the campaign.
He scored 12 goals and provided four assists, becoming a cult hero among fans of the Italian giants.

There were reports in the Italian media that Antonio Conte was close to quitting the club as manager at the end of last season due to transfer disagreements, but those rumours were quietened after a successful crisis meeting and the marquee signing of ex-Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer.
Now, Napoli are said to be lining up a surprise name from the red half of Manchester to join him.
According to Italian transfer expert Ciro Venerato, the Serie A champions are plotting a move to sign striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dane was left out of United's squad for the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, and may have played his last game for the club.
Napoli are in the market for a striker following a serious thigh injury suffered by Romelu Lukaku during last Thursday's pre-season friendly against Olympiacos.
The club released a statement on Sunday, confirming that the Belgian has suffered 'high-grade' damage to his thigh, with further assessment due to determine whether he needs to undergo surgery.
Napoli in desperate striker search after Lukaku injury
Venerato told RaiNews 24 that Napoli have held talks over signing no fewer than seven strikers in the midst of the major blow to Lukaku.

As well as Hojlund, Venerato claims that Antonio Conte's side have shortlisted his United team-mate Joshua Zirkzee, who is also set to be pushed down the pecking order at Old Trafford after the high-profile attacking arrivals of Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson, Lecce's Nikola Krstovic and Cagliari's Roberto Piccoli are other targets, though Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi has been turned down.

The other player to have been unsuccessfully offered to Napoli, Venerato says, is ex-Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Serbian, 30, currently plays in the Saudi Pro League for Al Hilal, but has been the subject of a slightly bizarre transfer link in recent days.
Reports claimed that Championship side Birmingham City were keen on bringing the striker back to English football.
But Birmingham Live report that the Blues are not pursuing a move - with his near £400,000-per-week wages in Saudi, unsurprisingly, cited as the reason.
