Fans have been left stunned after seeing the future of football right before their eyes.

75,000 fans packed into Old Trafford on Friday night to watch Manchester United kick off the new Premier League campaign with a win over Fulham.

Millions around the world tuned in to see Joshua Zirkzee score the winner on his debut, but it was at a bar in Los Angeles where the best TV viewing experience occurred.

A video has gone viral showing fans in the City of Angels watching all the action unfold on NBC.

At very first glance it genuinely looks like all those in attendance are actually at the game such is the incredible set-up and camera angle from behind the goal as United defend a corner.

In viral footage shared by Colin Cowherd of Volume Sports, United fans across the pond can be seen with their eyes glued to the large IMAX-like screen, while there also two other smaller TVs to add to the madness.

It genuinely looks like an optical illusion but that is the genius of 'The Dome', a "9,600 square foot, fine pitch LED display that wraps around the audience" at Cosm in Inglewood, close to the SoFi Stadium.

Food and drink is also able to be ordered directly to your seat.

"The Dome is more than just a front row seat to your favorite sporting or entertainment event," Cosm's website says.

"It will make you reimagine what’s possible with live content, and redefine how you experience it with your friends.

"When you’re in The Dome, you’re completely immersed. Our revolutionary technology makes you feel like you’re courtside at an NBA game or traveling to a world beyond your own."

You have to purchase tickets or pay an entry fee upon arrival but fans are all in.

One wrote: "This is crazy."

A second said: "That’s mind blowing. Like watching with a VR headset on."

Another person commented: "That genuinely burnt my head for a good few seconds."

A fourth admitted: "Bloody hell this fried my head, thought they were actually behind the goal."

A fifth user tweeted: "I genuinely thought they were in the stands."
