Darts star and Manchester United fan Luke Littler has named which players would make his dream five-a-side squad.

Darts star Luke Littler has named his dream Manchester United five-a-side squad - compiled of players he has watched live.

The 17-year-old has taken the darting world by storm in recent months, reaching the World Championship final before winning the Bahrain Darts Masters last month.

He also reached the final in week two of the Premier League, losing a tense last-leg decider to Michael van Gerwen.

Outside of darts, Littler is a Manchester United fan, and was invited to watch the side's 2-2 draw with Tottenham from the director's box at Old Trafford.

He also met the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, and later met several of the United first team players for a darts challenge at the club's Carrington training ground.

Littler also revealed he received a congratulatory message from former United star David Beckham during his run to the World Championship final.

Having been born in 2007, 'The Nuke' has experienced plenty of ups and downs during his time as a United supporter, ranging from the success of Ferguson's later years in charge to the mixed results of the late 2010s and early 2020s.

And speaking in an exclusive interview with SPORTbible, Littler named who would make his United five-a-side squad - based on players he has watched live.

He began: "From what I've witnessed, I'd probably go David de Gea in goal.

"I've seen a bit of Nemanja Vidic so I'll throw him in. I've seen a bit of Rio Ferdinand as well.

"I'd have to go with Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo."

Littler previously revealed that Ronaldo played a key role in his favourite memory as a United fan - the 3-2 comeback victory over Atalanta in the Champions League in 2021, in which the Portuguese icon scored an injury-time winner.

Fernandes is the only active United player named in the team, although Ronaldo and De Gea only left the club on free transfers in December 2022 and July 2023 respectively.

Luke Littler was speaking after the announcement of his new partnership with boohooMAN.

He said of the new partnership: "Hopefully I can bring some success to boohooMAN, obviously it's a big clothing brand. From my side, it's all about winning and not just winning them for them, winning for myself and my other sponsors and manager."
