Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted exchanging words with Liverpool icon Sir Kenny Dalglish as their former clubs clash at Anfield.
On Sunday, one of the most highly-anticipated matches of the Premier League season got underway at Anfield as Liverpool hosted historic rivals Manchester United.
Of course, some of the biggest names in the history of both clubs are in attendance at Anfield, with legendary United manager Ferguson and Liverpool's beloved Dalglish both watching their former clubs.
At half-time, it was Ferguson that would have no doubt been the happier man, as United took an early lead in the match following a controversial goal from winger Bryan Mbeumo.

But that didn't stop the former United boss from approaching his countryman in the stands to share a wholesome moment that has gone viral online.
While fans from both clubs cooled off after what was a tense and controversial opening half at Anfield, Ferguson decided to open up a bag of Cadbury's chocolate buttons to enjoy.
However, Sky Sports cameras spotted that once the United legend saw his fellow Scottish football great empty-handed, he approached Dalglish, and the pair shared the bag while chatting.

Although many enjoyed the wholesome exchange, others were not so happy to see icons of such fierce rivals happily relaxing together.
Reacting to the moment, one fan wrote on X: "Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Kenny Dalglish sharing chocolate buttons at Anfield. Games gone."
While another asked: Why am I smiling at Alex Ferguson being kind to Kenny Dalglish sharing snacks at half time? The game has gone."
But not all fans felt the same way, as one claimed: "Alex Ferguson offering Kenny Dalglish a chocolate button is my highlight of the PL season so far!"

Having played both under and against Ferguson during his storied career, Dalglish knows the United legend as well as anyone else.

But, despite the fierce rivalry between their two clubs, the Liverpool legend claimed that his rivalry with Ferguson was simply a part of managing in England's top flight.
Speaking on the BBC's Sporting Giants podcast, Dalglish said: "A lot of the time it was psychological to throw things out there to try and wind up.
"Sometimes you felt like you were falling for it and other times you would not give it back.
"That was not just with Fergie, but with everybody at the time.

"There was never a time he came back with something [in the media] and I regretted it. There was never any animosity between us. As soon as the game was played, that was it and we would have a drink."
