Erik ten Hag is set to sell the same player for two different clubs, with reports claiming he will offload a Bayer Leverkusen player who left when he was Manchester United boss.
Ten Hag spent a considerable period out of the game after being sacked by Manchester United back in October following a poor start to the season.
He was linked with a number of different vacancies but proceeded to take the Leverkusen job, replacing Xabi Alonso after he became the new Real Madrid manager.
The Dutchman inherits a Leverkusen side which finished second last term after a historic double the previous year, though key players Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Jonathan Tah have all left.

However, Leverkusen have been active in the transfer market, notably bringing in Jarell Quansah and Mark Flekken from Liverpool and Brentford respectively.
Flekken will compete with Finnish goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky for the No.1 shirt but his arrival looks set to signal the end for fellow shotstopper Matej Kovar.
Incidentally, Kovar was moved on by Ten Hag once before, signing for Leverkusen for a fee of £7.7 million in 2023.

He had joined United at the age of 17 but did not make a first-team appearance, instead spending time on loan at Swindon Town, Burton Albion and Sparta Prague.
The Czech Republic international signed a four-year contract and made 32 appearances over two seasons but The Mirror say he is leaving to join Eredivisie champions PSV in a bid to become first-choice in between the sticks.
The deal for the 25-year-old is said to be worth around £3.5 million.
Leverkusen kick off their pre-season campaign against Flamengo's Under 20 side on 18 July, before they play VFL Bochum, Fortuna Sittard, Pisa and Chelsea.
