Manchester United are prepared to let as many as four players go in order to complete a deal for top target Carlos Baleba.
During a summer transfer window that saw several of the biggest clubs in the Premier League sign world-class players, Manchester United were busy.
Across the summer, Ruben Amorim's side signed five new players, revamping their attack by bringing in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko for a combined cost of over £200million.
However, in the final days of the window the club missed out on their top target in defensive midfielder Carlos Baleba after current club Brighton & Hove Albion made it clear that he wasn't for sale this summer.

But it has since been reported that United's hope of signing the Cameroon international, and the club is even prepared to let four players go in order to fund a future move.

According to several reports, Baleba is keen on making the move to Old Trafford as soon as possible, with a deal in January believed to be on the cards.
But if Brighton are to let their star midfielder go, United will certainly have to make it financially viable for them and for the player himself.

According to The Sun, in order to achieve this United would be willing to sell Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Tom Heaton in January, raising the money needed for a bid while also freeing up some of the salary budget.
Should Baleba come to United, it would certainly mean an end to Casemiro's spell at the club, particularly given the fact that his £300,000 a week contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
Since his arrival in the summer of 2022 in a £70m move from Real Madrid, the Brazilian has struggled to find consistent form, often frustrating fans.
United are also believed to be ready to cut their losses on Sancho, who joined United in 2021 for a fee of £73m.

The Englishman, who is currently on a season-long loan at Aston Villa, has never found his footing at Old Trafford, publicly falling out with both Erik ten Hag and Amorim.
Sancho has not played a league match for the Red Devils in over two years and, although there is an option to extend Sancho’s contract by another year, it is not likely to be triggered.

Meanwhile Malacia, the only member of the 'bomb sqaud' still at United is expected to be listed for transfer in the winter, but failing that his contract will be allowed to expire in the summer.

The same can be said for third choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton, who will be 40 when his contract runs out in nine months.
