The last time Manchester United played in the second round of the League Cup, they were humiliated by MK Dons.
Back in August 2014, Louis van Gaal led the Red Devils to Milton Keynes for a second-round League Cup tie against MK Dons.
It turned out to be a horrible night for United as they fell to an embarrassing 4-0 defeat.
While a young Dele Alli impressed for the Dons, Will Grigg and Benik Afobe scored a brace each to seal a famous victory.

Speaking at the time, Van Gaal said: "Of course I’m disappointed, but I can analyse this.
"I am not shocked because I know what can happen, and I think also that Milton Keynes played very well, very aggressively, and they had also a little bit of luck."
The likes of David De Gea, Jonny Evans, Anderson and Danny Welbeck were all named in the starting XI but failed to inspire the Red Devils.
United starting XI vs MK Dons: David De Gea; Marnick Vermijl, Jonny Evans, Michael Keane, Reece James; Saidy Janko, Anderson, Shinji Kagawa, Nick Powell; Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez.
