Manchester United fans couldn't believe what Andre Onana did in only his second game playing for new club Trabzonspor.

After a turbulent two years, United goalkeeper Onana finally left the club on September 11, joining Turkish side Trabzonspor on a season-long loan.

The Cameroon international joined the Red Devils from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 for a fee of £47.2million but failed to impress across 102 appearances in between the sticks.

After United manager Ruben Amorim decided not to play Onana in any of the club's opening three Premier League fixtures, while also brining in new goalkeeper Senne Lammens on deadline day, it was clear that the 29-year-old's future was away from Old Trafford.

And it's safe to say that Onana has had an impact since his arrival at the Super Lig club, with many United fans shocked to see his latest performance for his new team.

Just three days after his move was confirmed, Onana made his debut for Trabzonspor in their league game against Turkish giants Fenerbahce, earning the player of the match award despite his side losing the match 1-0.

But in his second match, Onana has further added to his impressive start for his new club as he helped rescue a point in the match against Gaziantep as he provided the assist for teammate Paul Onuachu's equaliser.

With his side trailing 1-0 in the 70th minute, Onana took the ball outside of his box and launched it towards the striker, who cleverly beat four of Gaziantep's defenders and their keeper to earn his side a point.

Reacting to the moment, one United fan wrote on social media: "Andre Onana has just made an assist for Trabzonspor's goal. Leave Man Utd, become a decent footballer again."

While a rival fan added: "Every player thrives away from United. A rotten club."

While another United fan claimed: "The perfect league for him, they’re not letting him do this in the prem."

Although Onana is clearly enjoying life with his new club, United fans will likely be happy enough without him as their side secured a crucial win over Chelsea shortly before Onana's performance for Trabzonspor.

A chaotic match that saw red cards for both sides ultimately finished as a 2-1 win for the hosts, with goals from captain Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro.

Turkey goalkeeper Altay Bayindir made his fifth Premier League start of the season for United, with new signing Lammens yet to make his debut.
