Bruno Fernandes could be on the way out of Old Trafford thanks to a blockbuster offer from the Saudi Pro League.
Manchester United need a rebuild and a big sale would help grease the wheels in the era of PSR.
While selling Kobbie Mainoo or Alejandro Garnacho would go on the books as pure and immediate profit, the right offer for even the Red Devils' most important player could unshackle the club's transfer plans.

Al-Hilal, one of a clutch of Saudi Pro League clubs majority-owned by the state Public Investment Fund and the second-placed team in the league, are reportedly preparing a mammoth offer.
A massive transfer fee and a very healthy weekly wage could tempt both Man Utd and their captain to agree to a shock deal.
According to the Daily Mail, Al-Hilal have given the Portuguese midfielder a deadline to make his mind up about a move.

"The Saudi Arabian club want an answer by the end of May and are increasingly hopeful that Fernandes can be persuaded to walk away from Old Trafford," reports Chris Wheeler.
"They are ready to offer United a transfer fee of around £100m if Fernandes accepts a three-year contract worth a basic £700,000-a-week and up to £65m-a-season including signing-on fee and bonuses."
Fernandes is crucial for Ruben Amorim's side but £100 million could be too much to turn down for a 30-year-old player when such major surgery is required on the rest of the team around him.
The United skipper is unlikely to get another chance to bank such a hefty weekly wage either and a three-year contract would set him up perfectly for one last sentimental move before retirement.

United's struggles came close to a positive resolution and a Champions League place but defeat in the Europa League final left them in the bottom five of the Premier League with no European football next season.
That puts them in a compromised financial position and inevitably informs their summer transfer activity.
"If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in, it is what it is," admitted Fernandes after the loss against Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao.

"Al-Hilal want to have a marquee player in place for the Club World Cup next month. It's understood that they will table a final offer to Fernandes in the coming days and give him just 72 hours to respond before switching to other targets," continues the Mail report.
