A huge European club are interested in signing Manchester United forward Benjamin Sesko this summer.
Sesko arrived at United from RB Leipzig in 2025 and initially struggled to find form under Ruben Amorim, scoring twice in 17 appearances under the Portuguese before he was replaced by Michael Carrick in January.
Not only did Carrick’s appointment coincide with an improvement in United’s results, with the side eventually finishing third and, in doing so, securing Champions League qualification, it also helped Sesko’s game, with the Slovenian scoring nine times under the Englishman in the second half of the season.
Sesko’s 2025/26 campaign was cut short as he was forced to miss the final three Premier League games after sustaining an injury against Liverpool in May.

Despite his injury, United fans noticed his noticeably buff physique in recent training pictures, with the 23-year-old again looking to push on and improve his numbers as the side compete on four fronts: the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup this season.

Could Benjamin Sesko leave Man Utd?
As reported by Bundesliga journalist Christian Falk, German giants Bayern Munich are weighing up an approach for Sesko, despite already signing Morocco international Ismael Saibari this summer.
The Bavarians see Sesko playing an out-and-out striker's role, which may allow Harry Kane to drop deeper and use his passing ability.
Kane is expected to begin negotiations over a contract extension when he arrives back for pre-season on August 8, with a two-year extension to be tabled.
Speaking about the possible addition of Sesko, Falk told Bayern Insider: “The striker [Harry Kane] knows he’s not getting faster as the years progress, but everyone can see that he already has an important role at FC Bayern with his passing and playmaking ability.
“So, he already has in his mind that he could play deeper and leave room for a pure striker ahead of him. This idea was already developing at the club when Vincent Kompany first joined in 2024, which was why Bayern had the idea to bring Benjamin Šeško to Munich. He was too expensive at the time, which is why Manchester United ended up pulling off the deal a year later.
“However, the idea is still there to bring such a striker into the team. Now, Bayern have Ismael Saibari, who can cover this role as well. So Bayern will perhaps see if they can make it work already this coming season. They have to see if they’ll still need a player like Šeško down the line. The Slovenian is still on the list, and he’s a player who’s very interesting for FC Bayern. Perhaps, if he’s struggling to make his mark in the Premier League, they could return to this idea. The plan for the future, nonetheless, is to sign another striker who can be a Harry Kane successor but also play in a two-striker system. This is one of Vincent Kompany’s key ideas.”
Of course, Sesko previously played in the Bundesliga between 2023 and 2025, registering 39 goals and eight assists in 87 appearances for RB Leipzig.
The forward is contracted to Man Utd until 2030.
