
Fans are all looking for the same answer after Manchester City were given a huge fine for breaching Premier League rules.
On Wednesday afternoon, news emerged that City have been fined £2.09 million by the Premier League.
City were fined for 22 breaches in relation to kick-off delays during the 22/23 campaign and the 23/24 season.

It was later revealed that late kick-offs include restarts following the 15-minute half-time interval in league matches.
A statement read: āThe Premier League and Manchester City FC have entered into a sanction agreement after the club accepted it had breached Premier League Rule L.33 relating to kick-off and re-start obligations.
āThe breaches relate to a number of Premier League matches during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.ā

It continued: āRules relating to kick-offs and re-starts help ensure the organisation of the competition is set at the highest possible professional standard and provides certainty to fans and participating clubs. It also ensures the broadcast of all 380 League matches around the world is kept to schedule. As required by the Premier League Rules, the sanction agreement has been ratified by three members of the Independent Judicial Panel.ā
In a separate case, City are currently under investigation over 115 alleged breaches of the Premier Leagueās financial rules.

City are currently on their pre-season tour of the United States but are yet to win a match.
So far, the Blues have lost 4-3 to Celtic, 3-2 to AC Milan and drew 2-2 with Barcelona.
