Jack Grealish drops huge hint over club he wants to join with six massive sides keen to sign Man City star

The England international has struggled to find form in the 2024/25 season and has been linked with a potential move.

Jack Grealish has seemingly dropped a ‘huge hint’ over the next team has ‘wants to join’ as six clubs have shown an interest in the player.

Grealish, 29, joined Manchester City from Aston Villa for a reported £100m fee in the summer of 2021 and has seven major honours to show for his efforts, including the historic 2022/23 treble-winning campaign.

However, over the past two seasons, he has struggled to find form and has had to settle for a place on the bench in recent months.

Grealish, whose City contract is set to run until June 2027, had not scored for over a year before netting a penalty during the 8-0 FA Cup third round victory against Salford earlier this month.

The winger was also not selected by Gareth Southgate for England’s Euro 2024 campaign last summer.

This term, things have not really improved for the former Villa man, having played 21 times for Pep Guardiola’s side this season.

Now, he has been linked with a potential move away from the Premier League champions.

Six clubs have registered their interest in the winger with reports claiming that Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are all keen.

European giants Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also linked with a potential move for the Birmingham-born player.

It is unclear if Grealish has made up his mind on the club he would like to join, but back in December 2021 he dropped a subtle hint on his potential future career plans.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Grealish voiced how it was “hard” for him to leave his boyhood club.

“I was a bit surprised by some of the backlash when I left [Aston Villa],” said Grealish in 2021. “I’d never want a toxic relationship with anyone there. I owe everything to them and I wouldn’t be at City without Villa.”

“It’s a club that is so close to my heart and I definitely hope to go back there,” he admitted. “That’s always been in my mind. Ashley Young has done it and I want to do the same, 100 per cent.”

Of course, this was four years ago, and Grealish may offer a different opinion now. It is unclear if Villa would be willing to re-sign the player, given the fact that Unai Emery’s side are well-stocked on the flanks with Jacob Ramsey, Leon Bailey, Emiliano Buendia and Donyell Malan all able to play on the left side of the attack.

Although, of the players mentioned, Ramsey, 23, is the only player who favours the left side, so Grealish would likely feature often for the club.
