Jack Grealish Shares Heartbreaking Update After Foot Surgery
Jack Grealish has been flooded with messages after posting a heartbreaking injury update on social media.
Grealish was loaned out to Everton for the 2025/26 campaign after struggling for minutes at Manchester City.
The former Aston Villa captain became an instant hit with Toffees supporters and scored twice and assisted six in the Premier League.
Grealish was hoping to return to the England squad after finding his form again but he picked up a foot injury against former club Villa last month and in a statement released on Instagram on Monday evening, revealed that his season appears to be over.

The blow may well put an end to his chances of earning an England recall for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Accompanied by a picture of him in a hospital bed, Grealish wrote: "Didn’t want the season to end like this but that’s football, gutted. Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.
"The support I’ve had since coming to this unbelievable club has meant the world to me. The staff, my teammates and especially the fans have been incredible and I absolutely love representing this club. I’ll be backing the lads all the way and doing everything I can to get back as soon as possible. Thank you again for all the love, it means so much. UTFT."
The 30-year-old received comments from a number of fellow professionals, including Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire, Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Morgan Rogers.
Grealish has made 20 appearances for Everton in all competitions and speaking last month, manager David Moyes revealed he believed Grealish had played his final game of the season.
"It's really disappointing for the player, and for the club, and all of us here," Moyes said, as per Sky Sports.
"He's such an important part, he's a big character, big experience for us. We'll miss him. He's done a lot of really good things for us."
Grealish's stint at Everton is a loan but the Merseyside outfit do have the option to buy him permanently for a fee of £50 million.
The injury presents a significant obstacle and could see Everton look to negotiate a lower fee if they do wish to bring Grealish to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on a permanent basis.
