Jamie Redknapp dropped a surprise update on the situation involving Antoine Semenyo after he had a fairytale ending to his Bournemouth career.
On his 26th birthday, the Ghana international bagged a brilliant winner in the 95th minute against Spurs before receiving a standing ovation from the Vitality Stadium.
Despite transfer speculation surrounding him, Semenyo continued to play for Bournemouth and signed off as a match-winner on Wednesday night.
Courted by a host of clubs, it has been widely reported of late that Semenyo is set to sign for Manchester City in a £65 million switch and has agreed wages of around £150,000-a-week.

Bristol City, his former club, are poised to take £11 million after inserting a clever 20 per cent sell-on clause when they sold Semenyo for £10 million in 2023.
However, despite everything indicating that Semenyo is on his way to City - Redknapp claims that the deal is still not completely done.

Speaking live on Sky Sports on Wednesday night, Redknapp released information regarding a potential "twist" that could see Semenyo follow his lead in leaving Bournemouth for Liverpool - a move he made in 1991.
A clip of his claim was posted on Sky Sports' official Premier League page.
"Everyone thinks it's a foregone conclusion, I'm not so sure," Redknapp stated.
"I've heard there might be a little bit of a twist still. I think Liverpool could still be in the equation... Why they haven't come in as strongly, I'm surprised because you look at that position with Mo Salah, how long he's going to be at the club for, we don't know.
"But if you've got a player of that quality, he's a match-winner, turns up in the big moments, why wouldn't you be in for him?!
"So I'm not saying it's a Sky Sports breaking news moment, but all I'm saying is I've heard tonight it might not be the foregone conclusion everyone's talking about and that he's going to be having a medical at Man City. There might still be a little twist. I hope so!"

Semenyo set for City medical
To the contrary, Sky Sports have reported that Semenyo is poised to undergo his City medical on Thursday - having been the only club to contact Bournemouth about his release clause ahead of it expiring on Friday.
Chelsea made an enquiry but opted against pursuing a move, giving City a free run.
The report added that the eight-time Premier League champions still want to keep Savinho and Omar Marmoush even with Semenyo's arrival.
Manager Andoni Iraiola praised Semenyo's professionalism, stating that "most players would have acted differently" and that he "never found excuses".
The Spaniard added that only "formalities" needed to be completed as he described Semenyo as "an incredible player"
