Erling Haaland accidentally leaked Manchester City's training ground message and fans spotted it instantly.

The Premier League's top scorer shared a picture of him with UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov, who visited the club's training ground earlier this week.

The Dagestani fighter enjoyed a trip to Manchester and was present for City's 1-1 draw with Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium. He linked up with a whole host of City stars, including Tijjani Reijnders, Abdukodir Khusanov and Haaland, who gave him a signed shirt as a gift.

The Norwegian had a total of three pictures with the former lightweight champion, who retired with an undefeated 29-0 record in MMA.

He uploaded one on his official X page, with the caption, "Mentality". However, plenty of people noticed that there was a rallying message on the television in the background.

It turns out that the message is part of a post on X by City fan Geronimo Morgans following on from back-to-back dropped points for Pep Guardiola's men.

It reads: "The pressure. The chase. The reminder that we've been here before, pushed to the absolute limit and still taken everything. That has always been our spirit.

"We don't fold. We don't panic. We don't quit. We adapt. We respond. We turn setbacks into solutions. We change situations, because that's what we do.

"We are not weaklings. We are Manchester City Football Club."

Guardiola has used messages to galvanise and inspire his team in the past, notably having a message in the boot room which read, "No team has won four consecutive Premier League titles… yet!”.

Ahead of Aston Villa in second on goal difference, City find themselves six points behind league leaders Arsenal after two consecutive draws.

Haaland needs to end goal drought

Haaland is the top scorer in the Premier League by a considerable distance with 19 strikes - with Igor Thiago closest on 14 after his hat-trick against Everton on Sunday.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has failed to find the net in his last three games against Chelsea, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest.

He has never gone our top-flight starts in a row without scoring and needs to be back amongst the goals against Brighton on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland does have a good record against Brighton as he's struck in every one of his last four Premier League appearances but City have struggled against City in recent times, failing to win their last three meetings.
