Trent Alexander-Arnold compilation vs Man City has emerged, he was everywhere

Trent Alexander-Arnold starred as Liverpool held Manchester City at the Etihad

A compilation of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s performance against Manchester City has emerged.

On Saturday afternoon, Liverpool travelled to the Etihad Stadium looking to end their eight-year wait for a league victory away against City.

However, Erling Haaland opened the scoring after 27 minutes on the back of an error by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

In the second half, Liverpool pushed for an equaliser which eventually came in the 80th minute when Alexander-Arnold unleashed an unstoppable low drive into the back of Ederson’s goal.

After the match, a compilation of Alexander-Arnold’s performance has gone viral.

The Englishman faced some tough battles against City winger Jeremy Doku but also showed glimpses of strong defensive skills against the Belgian.

As usual, Alexander-Arnold’s wide range of passing was on show as he often switched play for Liverpool.

The 25-year-old capped off a wonderful performance with a well-taken goal, earning him the Player of the Match award.

During the match, Alexander-Arnold managed 66 touches, won possession on 10 occasions and entered the final third eight times.

Defensively, Alexander-Arnold won five duels and made three tackles including one last-man tackle.

Earlier in the match, it was spotted that the England international was wearing a pair of unreleased Adidas boots.

Speaking about Alexander-Arnold’s performance, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: “Trent made the difference today. Not only that he scored, he was in a lot of other moments as well.

“One day in England somebody else makes the lineups, that’s absolutely fine, put Trent wherever you think is his best position.”

He continued: “[But] before we started talking again about positioning, I think it helps when he can be on the right wing from time to time as well.

“So you just have this hiding space and can influence the game massively from there, how we all know and saw in the past. Yes, he had a good game.”
