Mohamed Salah has claimed Liverpool “have space” for a player to join the club, and the transfer would send shockwaves through the footballing world.
Salah, 32, recently penned a new two-year deal at the club despite it looking likely that he’d leave the now 20-time Premier League champions for much of the season.
And despite Arne Slot’s side securing the league title, Salah and co could see several new players join the club this summer, including two exciting Bundesliga stars.

On Wednesday (May 14), The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported that “Liverpool have made contact with the representatives of Florian Wirtz to express an interest in signing him if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen and is keen on moving to England”.

Although the Reds could face competition from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
Liverpool are also linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong, with Ornstein claiming the 24-year-old has a “release clause of around €35million (£29.6m/$39.3m)”.

And despite the obvious talent possessed by the Leverkusen duo, Salah is seemingly angling for the Reds to sign a proven Premier League player.
During an interview with Sky Sports, the Egyptian was quick to congratulate Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne on his career but also claimed that Liverpool have “space for him”.
Salah said: "I want to tell him congratulations for your career. He has done a phenomenal job for City, he was great for the league, and I really wish him the best. And, yeah, we have a space for him!"

The six-time Premier League winner will leave City upon the expiration of his contract in June and has been linked with a move to the MLS, Saudi Pro League and Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Liverpool.
De Bruyne, 33, admitted that he was surprised that he was not offered a new deal by City, when he spoke to reporters following his side’s 2-0 victory over Everton on April 19.
“I have not had any offer the whole year, they just took a decision," said De Bruyne.
"Obviously, I was a bit surprised but I just have to accept it. Honestly, I still think I can perform at this level like I'm showing, but I understand clubs have to make decisions."
