Eagle-eyed Liverpool fans are concerned after spotting what Mohamed Salah did after the Reds’ 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
Liverpool ended a run of four successive defeats with a convincing victory over Frankfurt in Germany on Wednesday.
Arne Slot might have feared the worst when Rasmus Kristensen put the Bundesliga outfit ahead on 26 minutes, but it took just nine minutes for Hugo Ekitike to level things against his former club.
Captain Virgil van Dijk headed the Premier League side in front on 39 minutes before Ibrahima Konate also nodded home to make it 3-1 just before the interval.

Unfortunately for Slot, Ekitike and Alexander Isak’s partnership lasted just 45 minutes as the latter was withdrawn due to a groin injury at halftime.
In the second half, Cody Gakpo added the away side’s fourth before Dominik Szoboszlai made it 5-1 with a long-range strike after being assisted by Florian Wirtz, who registered his first two goal contributions this term.

Overall, it was a positive evening for Slot’s side, but the Dutchman may have concerns about Salah’s post-match behaviour.

The Egyptian was forced to watch from the bench until being introduced on 74 minutes when he replaced Ekitike.
Salah then failed to make a positive impact on the game, extending his goalless run to seven matches, having not scored since the Reds’ 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid on September 17.
In total, the forward has managed just three goals and assists in 12 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign and is clearly not at his best.
When pressed on his decision to drop Salah, Slot admitted it was a difficult call to make without going into the details when he spoke ahead of the game.

And despite failing to make an impact on Liverpool’s victory in Germany, what he did after the match has concerned some fans.
It emerged that Salah changed his profile picture and header on X, causing some fans to offer their thoughts on social media.

One said: “Not sure what’s going on, but many claim it is due to the criticism from many fans on his recent performances.

“Need him back to his best soon, he’s key to our title efforts."
Another added: “We know he’s not himself mentally, but he’s giving it all. We, as a fanbase, need to stick by him no matter what through this period. After all, he’s only human, like we all are.”
While a third claimed: “I’ve just seen the amount of abuse Salah is getting and all I wanna say is: This brother carried Liverpool to the league last year and if it wasn’t for him the club wouldn’t be where they are...”
As a fourth commented: “Salah gave us 7 seasons and they’re turning on him because he didn’t pass it to Wirtz when we’re 5-1 up.”
