Liverpool interested in one of the Premier League's most in-form players after leaving scouts 'blown away'

Liverpool interested in one of the Premier League's most in-form players after leaving scouts 'blown away'

Liverpool are tracking one of the Premier League’s most in-form players

Liverpool are reportedly interested in one of the Premier League’s most in-form players.

After a disappointing 22/23 season that resulted in no Champions League football, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have come back stronger than ever in the new campaign.

The Anfield club are currently top of the Premier League table with 42 points, just ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference.

Liverpool also have the chance to go three points clear with a win against Newcastle United at Anfield on Monday night.

With the January transfer window now open, Liverpool are reportedly targeting one of the Premier League’s most in-form players.

According to Football Insider, the Reds are keeping track of Wolverhampton Wanderers star Hwang Hee-Chan, who has netted 11 goals and recorded three assists in 21 appearances across all competitions this season.

It has been claimed that scouts have been left blown away by Hwang’s performances in the current campaign.

However, the report stated that Liverpool will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur in what would be a fierce battle for the South Korean during the summer transfer window.

It is not expected that either club will make a move in the winter transfer window as Hwang is set to jet off for the Asian Cup later this month.

Speaking after Wolves' 3-0 win over Everton, Hwang said: “Personally to be honest, I was disappointed not to get my goal in the end, but I’m delighted to have such a great win at home in our last game of the year.

“Even though I didn’t score, I’m just happy and also today’s match was special for us. Mario heard the sudden sad news yesterday morning and as a team we were determined to play for Mario and his family.”

He continued: “I’m happy the result was positive. I hope it gives Mario at least a little bit of hope at this difficult time for him.”
