Liverpool fans aren't holding back after seeing former captain Jordan Henderson play for Chelsea at Anfield.
On Wednesday night, Liverpool hosted Chelsea in the Carabao Cup fourth round as both sides look to secure a spot in the quarter-finals.
The match saw both Xabi Alonso and Henderson return to Anfield for the first time since joining Chelsea, and the latter has caused quite the stir due to his actions on the pitch.
Liverpool fans react to Jordan Henderson being booed during Chelsea clash
When Henderson left Liverpool in July 2023, he did so as a club legend having made 492 appearance during 12 years at Liverpool between 2011 and 2023, spending eight seasons as captain.
During his tenure, the midfielder led the club to eight trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and two League Cups, plus the Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Community Shield.

Despite this, when he arrived at Anfield for the first time since joining Chelsea over the summer, he was not met with a positive reception, with many fans in the ground heard booing Henderson anytime he had the ball.
And it appears this reaction has massively split fans online, with some supporting the seemingly harsh action, while others think it's exactly what Henderson deserves for joining one of Liverpool's major rivals.
"Jordan Henderson deserves every single boo and negative response that comes his way. Heās no legend, just a loudmouth turncoat. So happy Anfield sees him for exactly what he is," one fan brutally wrote on X.
Another agreed, adding: "Hendo left to earn mega money and then he signs for them. Boo all you want."
But not all fans agree with booing their former captain, as one wrote: "This fan base has gotten so weird. Like how can you boo Hendo, crazy."
While another wrote: "Each to their own, but Hendo getting booed is out of order"
In particular, Henderson's reaction to Chelsea being awarded a penalty, and his reaction when Morgan Rogers put it past Giorgi Mamardashvili riled fans up online.
Writing after the goal, one fan joked: "Henderson is doing too much for a man who's going to pretend he never played for Chelsea the second he retires."
Thankfully for Liverpool fans, they weren't mad for long as just minutes after Chelsea went ahead thanks to a penalty scored by Rogers, a handball in the box from Wesley Fofana saw Liverpool awarded their own penalty, later scored by Cody Gakpo.
The two goals meant that Liverpool and Chelsea went into half-time with the scoreline at 1-1.
