Liverpool might have dropped a major transfer hint when unveiling their new 2026/27 home kit.
Liverpool and Adidas have today released the clubâs new home kit, inspired by the iconic strip worn during the title-winning season of 1989-90.
Itâs the second kit released since Liverpool re-signed with the iconic kit manufacturer last year.
The 1989-91 kit is synonymous with one of Liverpoolâs greatest ever teams, featuring the likes of Ian Rush, John Barnes and Alan Hansen, managed by Sir Kenny Dalglish.

Liverpool secured a record-breaking 18th league title that season, finishing nine points clear at the top of the First Division.
The throwback to the iconic kit was modelled by various members of the current first-team squad, including summer signings Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and the injured Hugo Ekitike.
However, the inclusion of one man in particular might have dropped a huge hint about Liverpoolâs summer transfer plans.
Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson Becker was also pictured in the promotional material modelling the new 26/27 goalkeeper jersey, potentially signalling he will stay at Anfield for the final year of his contract.

The former Roma man has been heavily linked with a return to Italy. Juventus are believed to be his most likely destination, with various reports suggesting Alisson has already given his approval to the switch.
Liverpool opted to trigger the clause in the 33-year-oldâs contract to extend his current deal for one more year earlier in the season, meaning he isnât available on a free transfer.
Alisson has missed a chunk of the season through injury, meaning Giorgi Mamardashvili and Freddie Woodman have been forced to deputise in his place.
Liverpool fans have been far from convinced that summer arrival Mamardashvili has the quality to replace their no.1, who has been a crucial member of the Premier League and Champion League winning squads.
Arne Slot gives update on Alisson Becker's future
Manager Arne Slot refused to be drawn on speculation over the goalkeeperâs future after Liverpool confirmed a farewell mosaic with departing stars Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah after their final game at Brentford on Sunday.
"You can ask the question as many times as you want in different ways, but my answer will be the same," Slot said.
"I think our fans need to support Alisson, no matter if itâs his last game or his first game, and thatâs what theyâve always done with all of our players.
"If heâs in goal (against Aston Villa), they will support him. If heâs in goal next week, they will support him, and the same goes for next season.â
