"What a body..." - Andy Robertson blown away by Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson's ripped physique

Henderson turned up to pre-season training absolutely ripped.

Jordan Henderson has stunned his Liverpool teammates after turning up to pre-season training absolutely ripped.

Liverpool captain Henderson was put through his paces with the rest of the squad on Tuesday at the club's AXA Training Centre in Kirkby.

Jurgen Klopp's men completed a range of physical examinations, including the dreaded lactate test, as they began their preparations for the 2023/24 campaign.

New signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai took part in the sessions, with the Hungarian particularly impressing with his fitness levels.

Henderson also caught the eye, with the England international looking in peak physical condition after the summer break.

Mohamed Salah, who also impressed in Liverpool’s pre-season fitness tests, was the first to notice Henderson's remarkable transformation. Check out the video below.

"Do you see this? Look at this," the Egyptian asked teammate Andy Robertson, while pointing in the direction of Henderson.

Robertson then replied: "Wow, what a body!

"It's all that boxing isn't it? What a body – woo!"

Henderson 'considering' Saudi Arabia move

Henderson is clearly determined to hit the ground running this season but there is speculation it could be spent away from Liverpool.

The Telegraph claim the Reds captain is considering a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League.

Henderson still has two years left on his contract at Anfield but faces increased competition for places, following the signings of Mac Allister and Szoboszlai.

It is claimed Henderson is 'wrestling with the dilemma' of whether to quit Liverpool ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and move to Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool have received no formal approach for their captain, but Henderson's former teammate Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq are said to be interested in the midfielder.

"Henderson will be weighing up the immediate benefits of a lucrative deal in the Saudi league - where he would join former team-mate Roberto Firmino and a host of others big names - against the wrench of walking out of Liverpool right now," read the report.

Henderson could feature when Liverpool face German side Karlsruher in their opening pre-season friendly on July 19.

They face further warm-up games against Greuther Furth, Leicester, Bayern Munich and Darmstadt before taking on Chelsea in their opening Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on August 13.
