Liverpool’s new signing Dominik Szoboszlai made the lactate test look incredibly easy whilst his teammates were seen struggling behind him.

The lactate test is often one of the very first tasks that Liverpool players have to do upon their return to pre-season.

The test measures the lactic acid level of players at increasing distances. Players with levels too high are eliminated, as at the end of each checkpoint, a sample of blood is taken from each player's ear to evaluate their lactic acid level.

On Tuesday, new signing Szoboszlai took part in the test and was making it look so easy, compared to Luis Diaz, who looked like he was really struggling. You can watch the footage below.

Fans were quick to react to the footage on social media.

One said: “How easy does Dominik Szoboszlai make the lactate test look, look at Luis Diaz in comparison.”

Another tweeted: “At Leipzig, they press like a madman bro.”

A third fan added: “Even Gakpo looks goosed too & Jota gives up before them. Haha.”

Someone else wrote: “Szoboszlai was doing lactate test for fun when he was at Salzburg.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Different muscle fibres. Diaz is short and explosive. Szoboszlai looks to have less explosive fibres, but in return make his stamina better.”

Another fan said: “I think Szobo knew he had to set an example as it’s his first day. Great mentality!”

Hungarian midfielder Szoboszlai completed his £60 million switch from Leipzig to Liverpool earlier in the month.

Upon joining the club, he said: “[A] really historic club, really good players, good coach, everything is good.

“For me it was perfect to make the next step in a club like this. The fans, the stadium, everything is really good.”

Szoboszlai added: “I’m a player who can play box to box; quite fast but not the fastest as I see the players here.

“I have quite a good shot. But I’m not only me, it’s the team, so I’m looking forward [to that].”
