Jarell Quansah’s highlights against Bournemouth prove that Liverpool have a proper star on their hands.
On Wednesday night, Jurgen Klopp’s men travelled to the south coast to face Bournemouth in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
In what was a tightly contested affair, Liverpool sneaked past the Cherries with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez. Justin Kluivert was the scorer for the hosts.
After the match, a compilation of Quansah’s highlights was posted on social media.

The 20-year-old centre-back has impressed every time he was given an opportunity by Reds boss Klopp.
Having already made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United in August, Quansah looked solid and assured at the heart of Liverpool’s defence against Bournemouth.
Quansah showed his pace and tackling skills as he stopped dangerous attacks on multiple occasions.
In addition, the England U21 international showed brilliant composure as he calmly dribbled his way out of tricky situations and also showcased his range of passing.

During the match against Bournemouth, Quansah managed a passing accuracy of 89% whilst making seven clearances and two interceptions. He also won four out of six ground duels and made the most passes in the Liverpool team.
Speaking about Quansah’s performance after the match, Klopp said: “That's the other thing which was obvious: that he was really good.

“In these circumstances, wow. So many difficult balls to judge, to estimate, where is it coming down? He did really well. On the ball, Caoimhin [Kelleher] thought give him the ball quite a lot and let's see what he can do. He did really well there. Yes, top game, absolutely.”
With Virgil van Dijk not getting younger and the futures of Joe Gomez and Joel Matip up in the air, Quansah could become Liverpool’s next superstar in defence and end up saving the club millions in the transfer market.
