Leicester City have officially announced that they have released 11 players following their relegation from the Premier League, including club legend Jamie Vardy.
Following their 1-0 defeat to Premier League champions Liverpool, the Foxes became the second club to be relegated to the Championship this season.
Shortly after, it was confirmed that club legend Vardy would be leaving at the end of the season, with his final game being his 500th appearance during the home match against Ipswich Town.

Although many expected the 38-year-old to retire, Vardy quickly confirmed that he would continue his storied career elsewhere next season, with several clubs linked with a move for the striker.
As for Leicester, they have now confirmed that Vardy is not the only player that is leaving the club now that the season is over, as they have brutally released a total of 11 players following the expiration of their current deals.

In a statement posted on the club website, Leicester confirmed that goalkeeper pair Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen will not penning new deals with the club.

Wales international Ward joined Leicester back in 2018 and after making 53 appearances for the club, has built up a good reputation among fans despite rarely being the first-choice keeper.
Fellow keeper Iversen joined two years before Ward, but having made just 15 appearances in this time, isn't held in quite as high a regard.
The Dane spent most of his Leicester career on loan, playing for Oldham Athletic, Rotherham United, OH Leuven, Preston North End and, most recently, Stoke City.
Following the confirmation of his exit, Preston officially confirmed that the 27-year-old had signed a new four-year deal with the club.

Alongside the three senior players, Leicester also confirmed that eight juniors will be leaving the club following the expiry of their contracts.
Those players include: Oliver Ewing, Harvey Godsmark-Ford, Ben Grist, Deniche Hill, Liam McAlinney, Arjan Raikhy, Joe Wormleighton and Brad Young.
In their statement, the club wrote: "All leave with the heartfelt thanks of everybody at Leicester City for their contributions during their time at King Power Stadium, as well as our best wishes for the next chapters in their careers."
