Jamie Vardy has been linked with a huge Premier League club just days after Patrick Viera ‘stopped’ him signing for Serie A side Genoa.

Vardy, 38, is currently a free agent, having left Leicester City when his contract expired at the end of June. The 38-year-old scored 200 goals in 500 appearances for the Foxes and helped them win the Premier League and FA Cup during his time at the King Power.

The former England forward has since been linked with moves to the MLS, Championship side Wrexham, and even reportedly ‘agreed’ to sign for Italian outfit Genoa before head coach Viera vetoed the deal.

There were some suggestions that Vardy could retire after leaving Leicester, but he quickly rubbished this when he spoke to Sky Sports in May.

"I'll keep going until my legs tell me I need to stop. My legs are fine.

"I'm doing a sport that I love, it's what I've done since I was a little kid, so long may that continue."

And he could soon secure the biggest move of his career, according to a report.

On Tuesday (July 8), The Athletic reported that Vardy was among a list of strikers who have been offered to Man United during the summer transfer window.

Out-of-contract former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and ex-Newcastle marksman Callum Wilson have also been offered to the Red Devils.

However, United are only expected to consider the free agents if they struggle to get business done before the end of the window.

Ruben Amorim has already welcomed former Wolves attacking midfielder Matheus Cunha to the club this summer after he completed a £62.5m move in June.

Paraguayan left-back Diego Leon also arrived from Cerro Porteno. United have also seen two bids rejected for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
