Jamie Carragher has appeared to issue a response to the AFCON final being overturned, following his controversial comments on the competition last year.
Despite securing a famous 1-0 victory in Rabat over Morocco, it has been confirmed in a statement from CAF that Senegal have been stripped of their AFCON victory.
This comes as a result of the Senegalese players being ordered off the pitch by manager Pape Thiaw after a controversial penalty was awarded to the host nation in the dying moments.
The decision follows an investigation from CAF who were far from impressed with the walkout protest despite Senegal returning to the pitch after 15 minutes.

Following the confirmation of the decision to hand Morocco the trophy, Jamie Carragher appeared to address the situation a year on from his controversial AFCON comments.
The former Liverpool star took to social platform X and posted an ambiguous meme of Leonardo Dicaprio from this year's Oscars.
Back in February 2025, Carragher was heavily criticised for claiming AFCON wasn't a major tournament, in a discussion surrounding Mo Salah's Ballon d'Or chances.
“I think the problem is the fact he’s with Egypt, and he’s probably not playing in a major tournament," he said on Sky Sports.
After significant backlash, the pundit admitted his comments were 'clumsy' but didn't apologise for the point he was making.
"I would never want to be described as, as a pundit, is ignorant or disrespectful so that was never my aim," he said on CBS last year.
“What I would say is, where I got it wrong was, I was clumsy describing Afcon as not a major tournament."

Speaking after the decision was confirmed, Senegal captain Idrissa Gueye took to Instagram to send a message to his nation.
Part of his statement read: "Titles, trophies, medals… all of that is only temporary.
"We know what we experienced that night in Rabat, and that, no one will ever be able to take away from us, God willing."
Gueye's fellow international and Everton teammate Iliman Ndiaye also wrote on Instagram 'earned not given' in response to the decision.
