Harry Kane has been linked with a return to the Premier League – and his Bayern teammates have already made their feelings clear on the England captain.

Kane, 31, joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of €110m (£91.7m).

His first season did not go as planned as the Bavarians failed to win a trophy. Despite the England captain scoring 44 goals in 45 appearances, Bayern finished third in the Bundesliga.

And this term, he has continued his impressive form with 32 goals in 37 appearances helping Vincent Kompany’s side to the summit of the German top flight and the last eight of the Champions League.

He is one of the favourites for the 2025 Ballon d’Or – alongside Vinicius Junior, Mohamed Salah and Raphinha – but if reports are true, he could be playing for a Premier League club when the ceremony takes place in October.

According to Spanish outlet, El Nacional, Kane is ‘seriously considering’ considering a return to the Premier League, with Liverpool supposedly favourites to sign him this summer.

It was previously reported by German outlet BILD that Kane’s contract contained an ‘exit’ clause – worth £64m this summer and £54m this winter – if he chooses to leave the club.

Although Kane has remained tight-lipped on the situation, his Bayern teammates have already made clear what they think of the forward.

As reported by The Athletic in January 2024, Kane’s Bayern teammates are ‘in awe’ at the Englishman’s confidence with a source explaining how "he’s the perfect role model for everyone else" and prioritises the team winning over individual success.

“We’re so pleased we have him in the team,” Thomas Muller said.

"It’s just the experience. The moves and actions he’s made over his career weren’t left behind in England. He’s shown that with the utmost brilliance since he’s worn red and white."

While Jamal Musiala explained how he was ‘surprised’ by the 31-year-old’s high standards.

"I expected high [standards] but not as high as he's delivered so far, it's even easier to play with him than I thought,” said Musiala.

"I feel very comfortable with Harry, he plays amazing passes. I can run in behind and he'll find me."

Speaking earlier this month, Bayern boss Kompany, 38, explained how Kane “has become better with age”.

"It helps when you have a top player who wants to run and fight for the team like a youth player," said Kompany at a press conference.

"I played against him as an opponent, and he has become better with age. He has a way to work towards his performances.”
