Broadcasters around the globe always try to innovate every season to give the fans a better experience, and it appears Germany have found one that has impressed many of the younger fans for this World Cup.

Supporters always want the best possible viewing to give them as much information, as it is difficult to get a full understanding at times when watching on screen, compared to what a fan can see happening in a stadium.

So, in Germany they have attempted to help combat the issue with an innovative feature for this World Cup, with some being impressed by it while other fans appear to really dislike it.

Across social media, clips of the coverage have been shared, showcasing added features reminiscent of video games, including a mini-map that displays the exact locations of players on the pitch.

While it has also been noted that on occasion an arrow will appear over the player in possession of the ball.

Que pasada.

En Alemania, el Mundial se retransmite en UHD y con la disposición de los jugadores en el terreno de juego además de otros datos en directo durante e propio partido.

This coverage has left fans divided, though, as some appear to love it and think that it is an incredible addition, with supporters from other nations hoping to watch it, while others want it gone and believe it has no place in broadcasting.

One of the supportive fans said: “What a stunner; it looks just like a FIFA match.”

Another added: “How can I stream this? My family speaks German.”

Mientras tengas la opción de elegir está Ok. Sin duda que las transmisiones aún no han evolucionado a la par de la tecnología como en otros deportes.

While this supportive crowd was all for the addition, there appeared to be more in the camp of football purists who did not want anything added to the product they already have, wanting there to be less on the screen so they can just watch the action.

One fan stated: “I feel like they're ruining the game for me.”

Another said: “Too much info on screen, right? Looks like FIFA.”

While one fan joked: “I'm starting to suspect that this World Cup is just the stream of a couple of Germans playing a hyperrealistic FIFA.”
