England captain Harry Kane is a country music fan and he's not afraid to show it, according to another senior member of England's World Cup squad.
Kane scored England's first two goals of World Cup 2026 against Croatia, helping the Three Lions to a 4-2 win over familiar major tournament opponents Croatia.
The result put England in charge of Group L and they were rewarded with a day off on Friday.
England's captain donned his armband and led a couple of his teammates off on the 20-minute journey from the squad's base at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City to the nearby city of Independence, where American singer-songwriter Ella Langley was performing at the Cable Dahmer Arena.

Dan Burn and training squad goalkeeper Jason Steele accompanied Kane to Langley's show.
"Harry is a big country music fan," said the Newcastle defender, as reported by BBC Sport.
"There's a record player in the hotel and when it's the captain's pick a lot of it is country music."
Being able to enjoy local events and culture while away at the World Cup isn't something that's always been afforded to England squads.
Three Lions groups of the past have experienced camps where the primary objective was to shut them away from the media, leading to the kind of frustration and boredom most managers and administrators now recognise as utterly detrimental to the performance challenge at hand. The World Cup is now a two-month trip, so keeping the squad isolated is no more possible now than it is desirable.
Times have changed and the England trio trundled off to Independence to indulge their craving for country.
Burn, who didn't feature in England's Group L opener in Texas, might have found some time to do some shopping during the squad's flying visit instead.
"I was the only person suited and booted with cowboy hat, jeans, the lot," he said.
"Harry and Steeley managed to meet Ella before the gig, but I turned up a little bit later.
"We missed the last three songs because we had to be back for curfew, which I was a bit gutted about because those are her best ones."
England will take over from Scotland in Boston
The Three Lions' second group stage fixture takes them to Foxborough, near Boston, to face Ghana at Gillette Stadium. A win would take them through to the round of 32.
Gillette Stadium, Fenway Park and the city of Boston have been hosting Scotland's fans since before the start of the competition and the Tartan Army have made quite an impression on the public and proprietors of Massachusetts.
After two games in Foxborough, Scotland are off to Miami for their last group game against Brazil. England face Panama at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 27 June.
