England struggled against a stubborn Ghana in their second fixture of the World Cup as they drew 0-0, with Thomas Tuchel appearing to be frustrated with the performance of one of his players.
The squad did not do themselves justice in this clash, as demonstrated with England’s player ratings, as they struggled to test the Ghanaians, forcing the opposition keeper into only three saves.
This draw means they have finished all square in the World Cup for a record 23rd time, with this being the 13th time they have finished 0-0.
While Tuchel and his squad will be disappointed with this draw, they will take consolation from the fact they are still top of the group heading into the final round of this stage.

The England manager will want to ensure they finish top of the group to give them the best seeding possible for the competition, and he may be considering changes to ensure this, with one player potentially sweating after his interaction with the German during the hydration break.

It appeared Tuchel had some strong words for Djed Spence regarding his forward movement in the clash as reported by Geoff Shreeves for Fox on the US coverage of the World Cup.
The match reporter was on hand to provide insight to the US audience about what was happening during the hydration break in the first half and also during the mini interval the teams had after Reece James and Jordan Ayew were treated for head injuries.
Shreeves reported: “The teams wandered over to their coaches during the head injury, and Thomas Tuchel was speaking mainly to Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.
“He kind of said all he needed to say then, and in the actual break, he was not as animated as he normally is.
“Although he was getting to Djed Spence and looked like he was telling him to get down the flank, he was gesticulating along those lines.
“He’s just given two talks the length of a half-time team talk.”
These words come only days after a training ground incident between the England manager and the Tottenham Hotspur defender.
The England head coach was captured shouting, 'Djed, Djed, Djed, wake up! Wake up!' during a small section of a training session that was in front of the media.

Wayne Rooney on the training ground incident
Former Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has given his opinion on the incident between Tuchel and Spence while on the BBC coverage ahead of the England and Ghana game.
He believes Tuchel had planned the interaction, as Rooney said: “I think that was intended.
“I think for Thomas Tuchel, you have the open session; you have the 15 minutes in which the press are allowed in, and very rarely do you see the manager coaching the team in that.
“You see them doing the box playing stuff, but I think that was intended, and that was a message sent to the media and to the fans, but also to his players.”
Spence has since addressed this incident with talkSPORT, as he said: “It’s normal. He’s a great manager. He wants the best from his players.
“He demands high standards, and for this tournament we need to be ready; we need to be on it.
“Every session needs to be of the highest quality. That’s what he demands. It’s good.
“I wouldn’t be the only one; he says it too. It’s part of the game.”
