Stars of the Premier League have thrown their support behind Dele Alli after he gave an extremely emotional interview about his life and professional career.

Alli opened up on 'The Overlap' as he revealed he became addicted to sleeping pills while talking about the downfall in his career.

He also hit out at 'fake' managers and slammed Amazon for their 'selective editing' of the 2020 Tottenham documentary.

Since the interview has been released, the 27-year-old has been flooded with incredible messages of support from several players in the game.

From new Spurs star James Maddison and Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell to Manchester United's Harry Maguire and Everton man Dominic Calvert-Lewin, among others.

On Instagram, Alli uploaded a picture of him conversing with Neville, accompanied with the caption: "I recently sat down with @gneville2 to speak about my life and what’s been happening in recent years. Head over to @wearetheoverlap to watch the full interview. The link is in my bio."

The likes of Maddison, Chilwell and Maguire to name but a few sent messages of support to Alli in a lovely gesture.

Maddison wrote: "Proud of you brother! Love you always."

Chilwell added: "Love you brother."

Calvert-Lewin said: "Extremely proud of you bro."

Former Spurs defender and current Southampton man Kyle Walker-Peters commented: "So proud of you bro, love you."

Ex-Everton and Chelsea star Ross Barkley wrote: "Love ya lad"

Spurs' Ryan Sessegnon said: "Love you brother. Proud."

Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke also weighed in: "God bless you bro"

Maguire replied with two heart emojis.

Players reaching out to Alli shows how much of a tight-knit the football community really is. It's also a reflection of the player himself, who has bravely revealed his struggles.
