It looks like Nicolas Jackson will not join Bayern Munich on a season-long loan, according to a new report, after Chelsea appeared to pull the plug on a deal that was set to make football history.
Earlier today, it was widely reported that Jackson would join the Bundesliga champions in a world record loan deal worth up to £69.2 million.
It was said Chelsea would receive an initial £13 million loan fee for the striker. Then, if Bayern decided to exercise their option to make the move permanent, the Blues would have received a further £56.2 million next summer.

But things took a dramatic twist on Saturday, when Chelsea informed Bayern that they would not be proceeding with the proposed loan after Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury in their clash against Fulham.
Chelsea have asked Jackson to return to London, according to The Athletic.
As seen in the footage above, Jackson travelled to Germany on Saturday for a medical and was even pictured arriving at Munich airport ahead of the proposed deal.

Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg posted footage of Jackson's arrival alongside the caption: "Medical will be completed shortly. Signing of his contract after that. €15m loan deal between FC Bayern and Chelsea is done – as revealed this morning."
But according to the ever-reliable David Ornstein, the deal could be off after Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said on Saturday that he expected Delap to be sidelined for up to eight weeks.
Several clubs have been linked with a move for Jackson in recent weeks, including AC Milan, Newcastle and Aston Villa.
The Senegal international has slipped down the pecking order since the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer.
Earlier this month, Enzo Maresca refused to rule out the possibility of Jackson leaving.

Asked whether the striker could depart this summer, he said: "When the transfer window is open, unfortunately or fortunately, anything can happen. This also involves Nico's situation.
"At the moment we also had two strikers arrive, Joao [Pedro] and Liam [Delap]. So we will see what happens."
