The much anticipated Champions League group stage draw is fast approaching.

Despite being only three weeks into the new Premier League season, teams will now turn their attention to Europe as the Champions League draw will take place in Monaco on Thursday evening.

Manchester United

Dream group - Feyenoord, Man United, FC Copenhagen, RC Lens

Erik ten Hag has managed to drag United back to the Champions League at the first time of asking.

On paper, the easiest team from Pot 1 will be Dutch champions Feyenoord. According to the UEFA coefficient, FC Copenhagen and RC Lens are the weakest teams in Pot 3 and Pot 4.

If presented with that group, United will be expected to ease through to the last 16.

Arsenal

Dream group - Feyenoord, Arsenal, FC Copenhagen, RC Lens

Similar to United, the easiest group for the Gunners’ long-awaited return to European football’s top competition will consist of Feyenoord, FC Copenhagen and RC Lens.

After spending big in the transfer market, Arsenal will be targeting a deep run in the Champions League.

Manchester City

Dream group - Man City, FC Porto, FC Copenhagen, RC Lens

Reigning champions of Europe City will be in Pot 1, meaning they will avoid other champions from around the continent.

For Pep Guardiola’s men, the best scenario from Pot 2 would be Portuguese side FC Porto.

Whilst from Pot 3 and Pot 4, the easiest ties on paper will be against FC Copenhagen and RC Lens.

Newcastle United

Dream group - Feyenoord, FC Porto, FC Copenhagen, Newcastle

This will be Newcastle’s first taste of European football since 2012, hence why they are put into Pot 4.

Similar to Arsenal and United, the Magpies’ dream group will have Feyenoord and FC Copenhagen.

And from Pot 3, FC Porto will be the kindest team to play against on paper.
