Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Champions League play-off round, all 16 teams that have reached the knockout stages now know who they could potentially be drawn against during Friday’s draw.
Following a convincing 9–3 aggregate victory over Qarabag on Tuesday (24 February), Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United ensured that all six Premier League teams will be involved in the Champions League knockout phase draw, which will take place in Switzerland on Friday.
The Magpies already know they will face Chelsea or Barcelona in the next stage and will also learn whether Liverpool or Tottenham will be their quarter-final opponents.
Should they progress to the semi-finals, they may meet Premier League opposition again in the form of Manchester City or Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich know that they will face either Atalanta or Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16.
Arsenal and Bayern are also blocked from facing each other until the final due to their league phase performances.
Chelsea will face either Newcastle or the reigning champions, Paris Saint-Germain, in the round of 16.

Liverpool will take on Atletico Madrid or Galatasaray as they look to secure a seventh European triumph having last won the trophy under Jurgen Klopp in 2019.
Meanwhile, Igor Tudor’s Spurs could also face Atletico Madrid or Galatasaray.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Sporting CP could face Bodo/Glimt or 15-time winners Real Madrid.
Premier League teams, or other sides from the same league, can be drawn against each other in any of the four knockout rounds, including the final.
After finishing first and second in the 36-team league phase, Arsenal and Bayern Munich will play the second leg of all knockout ties at home.
All teams that finished in the top eight of the league phase will play the second leg of the last-16 ties at home. Those who finished third and fourth - Liverpool and Spurs - will also play at home in the second leg of their last-eight ties.
The official UEFA draw for the round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals will be made in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday (27 February).
