Viktor Gyokeres has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, so SPORTbible has simulated him playing for Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Gyokeres, 27, is one of the most sought-after strikers in European football this summer after he netted 54 goals in 52 appearances for Sporting CP in 2024/25.

Of the Premier League sides linked with him, Arsenal’s interest is strongest, but they could be set to battle it out with Serie A giants Juventus.

As reported by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, several players, including Dusan Vlahovic, Douglas Luiz, Lloyd Kelly, Samuel Mbangula, Arkadiusz Milik, Mattia Perin, Daniele Rugani and Filip Kostic, could all be moved on this summer, which may allow the Turin-based side to bring in around €80 million.

However, last week, journalist Fabrizio Romano maintained that Gyokeres’ priority is to join Arsenal.

But how would he cope with life at a top Premier League side?

Well, SPORTbible put this to the test on Football Manager (FM) and the results were certainly interesting.

According to FM, if the Swede joined the Gunners, they would still miss out on the Premier League title by three points, as they finished on 86 points compared to Manchester City's 89.

Mikel Arteta’s side were also knocked out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage by Newcastle, and exited the Champions League with a loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16, as well as being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Gyokeres’ former club Brighton in the fourth round.

The Swede netted 13 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions, so his impact was not what fans may have expected.

What if he signed for Liverpool?

As per FM, the Reds finished second on 80 points as Arsenal won the league with 83 points.

Liverpool were also knocked out of the Champions League by Newcastle at the quarter-finals stage and exited the FA Cup third round with a defeat to the Gunners.

Fulham knocked the Merseyside club out of the Carabao Cup fourth round, but Arne Slot’s side did manage to win the Community Shield.

Gyokeres finished the season with 16 strikes in 37 appearances, making him the side’s top goal scorer.

Finally, when Gyokeres signed for Man Utd, the Red Devils finished 6th in the league, were knocked out of the FA Cup quarter-finals by Arsenal and exited the Carabao Cup fifth round with a defeat to Swansea City.

From a personal perspective, the Sweden forward scored just ten goals in 21 appearances for the Red Devils.

It must be noted that this is a simulation, but there’s certainly food for thought for fans of the aforementioned clubs.
