Sporting Clube de Portugal star Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly chosen his next club.

After a stunning season with Sporting that resulted in 54 goals and 13 assists across all competitions, Gyokeres is highly in demand.

So far, the 27-year-old has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including the likes of Manchester United, Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that a first offer for Gyokeres has been submitted to Sporting.

According to Portuguese outlet Record, Arsenal became the first club to submit an official bid for Gyokeres, worth €60 million including add-ons, at a meeting on Wednesday.

Now, it has been claimed that Gyokeres has chosen his next destination.

Taking to social media, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano stated that Gyokeres' priority is to join Arsenal.

He wrote on X: "Viktor Gyökeres’ priority is to join Arsenal this summer despite calls from Manchester United in the recent weeks. Gyökeres always an option amid Šeško talks with no deal sealed so far, Arsenal keep assessing situation.

"United remain keen but believe deal now unlikely."

This week, Gyokeres took to social media to respond to the speculation surrounding his future.

On Instagram, he wrote: "There is a lot of talks at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right."

Romano has previously stated that there is a 'tense situation' between Sporting and Gyokeres.

He wrote on social media: "Tense situation between Viktor Gyökeres and Sporting. Despite previous pact for exit worth fee around €65m w/add-ons, Sporting president insists on higher fee.

"Price still under €100m clause but not €65m now. Gyökeres, described as furious."

Aside from Gyokeres, Arsenal have also been linked with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

It has been claimed that talks have been held over a summer transfer but so far, nothing has been agreed.
