Viktor Gyokeres' next club appears to have become clearer after one of the clubs after him seemingly dropped out of the race for his signature.
Gyokeres is one of the most in-demand strikers in world football, scoring an impressive 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting CP.
The Swede looks to have received the green light that he can leave Sporting in the summer and has attracted strong interest from many of Europe's leading clubs.

Arsenal are in the market for a new striker after finishing second in the Premier League for a third consecutive season but it looks as though the Gunners do not view him as their top target.
In fact, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Champions League semi-finalists are "advancing" in negotiations for RB Leipzig's 22-year-old striker Benjamin Sesko, with "discussions underway and proceeding well" between all parties involved.
The Slovenian has been destined for a big move and reports claim he will command a fee of £75 million to move this summer.
Man United favourites for Viktor Gyokeres?
This latest development could give Manchester United a clear run for Gyokeres, who played under Ruben Amorim at Sporting and developed into a world-class finisher.

The Red Devils have already kicked off their summer business with a £62.5 million deal for Matheus Cunha from Wolves, while they are also pushing to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford as they look to transform their misfiring attack.

According to The Mirror, Gyokeres has changed his mind on a move to United and is prepared to reunite with Amorim despite the club's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.
He could be available for £60 million - less than the release clause in his Sporting deal.

Asked about persistent links to clubs in England, Gyokeres told Vogue Scandinavia: "Clickbait. Nowadays, it's sports news 24 hours a day, and they come up with topics to keep the cycle going."
Gyokeres first moved to England in 2018 when he signed for Brighton, playing just eight times for the Seagulls in all competitions.
He spent time on loan at Swansea and Coventry, later signing permanently for the Sky Blues and scoring 40 goals across two full seasons.
