Former Chelsea player Jason Cundy has been called out on social media for his comments about Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly while live on talkSPORT.

On Sunday, Arsenal produced their biggest win of the season after thrashing former rivals Manchester City 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Although the scoreline was the most important part of the match, the fallout has focused on Arsenal defender Lewis-Skelly's decision to mock City star Erling Haaland after scoring the home side's third goal of the evening.

While speaking about the match, Cundy made his feelings on the moment clear, and Arsenal fans are not happy with him.

Immediately after the match rival fans criticised the 18-year-old for his behaviour, with many suggesting it was too much as Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table and have not won a trophy in several years.

And Cundy completely agrees, as thinks that Arsenal players don't have the right to mock the City striker given what he has accomplished in less than three years in England.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Cundy said: "The Lewis-Skelly stuff… wind your neck in. "Arsenal fans will love it and I get why they love it. But Haaland, he's completed football, right?

"Just doing that... I'm not convinced it's the wisest thing to do because, you know, so long, plenty of years to come.

"You wait. You know, we saw what Roy Keane did to Haaland's dad. You know, just be careful what battles you pick."

After hearing Cundy's comments, fans took to social media to express their outrage as they felt that the former Chelsea player was suggesting that a City player could mimic Keane's awful career-ending tackle of Alife Haaland during the 2001 Manchester derby.

Reacting to the clip, one fan wrote: "Is Jason Cundy seriously suggesting Lewis-Skelly should have his leg broken like Haaland’s dad just because he celebrated in a way he didn’t like? Disgusting."

A confused fan replied: "Wtf? All of this because of an innocent celebration? People lost their mind."

While another frustrated commenter wrote: "To say Lewis-Skelly needs to be careful of repercussions in the future such as a leg break due to a celebration is quite frankly a disgusting incompetent nasty thing to say."
