Man Utd learn Arsenal's asking price for Myles Lewis-Skelly as Chelsea offered England international

Arsenal's asking price for Myles Lewis-Skelly has been revealed as Manchester United and Chelsea circle for the England international.

On Tuesday, reports from football.London emerged claiming that Chelsea had been offered the chance to sign Lewis-Skelly - who did spend time on trial as a youngster.

The report noted that as much as they rate the 19-year-old, the Premier League champions would not stand in his way if a suitable offer was to arrive.

However, United are also in the race for Lewis-Skelly and Jamie Jackson from The Guardian reports that the Red Devils have also been offered the Arsenal star.

United are looking to bring in a new left-back and are keen on Newcastle defender Lewis Hall.

RB Leipzig and Germany defender David Raum is also said to be another potential option for the role.

Lewis-Skelly ticks a number of boxes because he can play at both left-back and in central midfield - where United likely still need another recruit despite bringing in both Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.

According to the report, Arsenal value Lewis-Skelly at around £45 million and a fee in that region would help recoup the majority of the £75 million they splashed out to sign Bruno Guimaraes.

Lewis-Skelly was fast-tracked into the Arsenal first-team and signed a new five-year contract at the Emirates last year.

But he made just five league starts last term and his game-time looks unlikely to improve in defence or midfield.

Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie appear to be ahead of him in the pecking order at left-back, while he is competing for a spot in midfield with Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, Mikel Merino and new signing Guimaraes.

Lewis-Skelly did get a surprise start in the Champions League final loss to Paris Saint-Germain after an impressive run in midfield.

He has been in the starting XI for every pre-season game with Arsenal's World Cup representatives not yet joining up with the team.

The youngest player to score on his senior debut, Lewis-Skelly has been capped six times by England but has not featured since October 2025 following a lack of regular minutes at club level.

With United holding interest, former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon has spoken about the possibility of a swap deal involving Lewis-Skelly and Marcus Rashford - who has returned to the fold at Old Trafford after a loan spell with Barcelona.

Despite scoring 14 goals and registering 14 assists for the Blaugrana as they won La Liga, Rashford did not secure a permanent move and is instead back with United for pre-season.

But Dixon believes a swap deal would benefit both players going forward.

"Would I swap them (Myles Lewis Skelly and Marcus Rashford)? You know what, I probably would," Dixon told BestBettingSites, as per Tribal Football.

"And that's nothing against Myles Lewis-Skelly, it's about giving him the freedom to go and expand his game elsewhere.

"With Marcus Rashford, he's a player who needs an arm around his shoulder, and Arteta would be great for him.

“Give him that love, give him the freedom to play on that left side, and yeah, I'd like to see him in an Arsenal shirt. I have my reservations about whether he's consistently a top-class player, but based on what Arsenal have in the squad now, he'd be a good addition."
