Arsenal have reached an agreement to complete their first summer signing, according to reports - and have fended off interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City in the process.
The Gunners are looking to have a strong summer off the back of winning the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
They also reached the Champions League final, losing to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties in Budapest.
While attention for many is currently on the World Cup, the English transfer window is now officially open and teams have already conducted business.

Arsenal agree eight-figure fee for new signing
Arsenal have now made their first move of the window, agreeing a fee with Leicester City to sign their 16-year-old winger Jeremy Monga.
That's according to talkSPORT's Alex Crook, who reports that the Gunners will pay a £10 million fee to the recently-relegated League One side.
Eight other clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, are said to have held an interest in the winger.
It is claimed that the final fee could potentially be decided by a tribunal, but that may not be necessary given the size of Arsenal's outlay.
For comparison, Liverpool paid Fulham a compensation figure of £4.3 million for Harvey Elliott when the 16-year-old's transfer fee was decided by tribunal.
Monga has played for England up to under-19 level, and made 27 Championship appearances - mostly from the bench - last season for Leicester.

His scored his first, and so far only, senior goal during Leicester's 2-1 defeat to Preston North End in August.
While the 16-year-old may not be part of Arsenal's first-team set-up straight away, he does have significant senior experience for a player of his age.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has shown he is not afraid to give young players their opportunity in the first team, having picked Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman for their debuts when they were both just 15.
Dowman is also currently representing England U19s, meaning Monga will have a familiar face to help him settle into life in north London once he arrives at the Emirates Stadium.
His former Foxes manager, Marti Cifuentes, praised Monga at the beginning of the 2025/26 season following his first senior goal, and gave an indication as to exactly why top clubs have been chasing his signature.
"He is a talented boy and we are trying to take care of him, because he is very humble and that is very important for me, because the way he works on the pitch is excellent," the Spaniard told BBC Radio Leicester.
"He wants to learn, he is eager to improve and he has a lot of talent, so I'm happy that he scored his first goal and I'm sure he's going to stay humble as well. I'm not happy only about the goal, but the whole performance.
"He is showing character and personality and we're going to try to help him to be the player we think he can be."
